Train for KNEC’s 2025 Competency-Based Assessment Development
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) invites qualified teachers and teacher educators to train in developing quality test items for Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) in 2025. This training, conducted online by April 11, 2025, aims to boost skills for assessing learners in primary, junior, senior schools, and teacher training colleges. Trained professionals may work with KNEC as contracted item writers, ensuring high standards in CBC exams like KPSEA and KCSE. Apply at Revise Kenya.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
  • Have high integrity and expertise in their subject.
  • Teach in Grades 4–6, 7–8, secondary (for 2026 Grade 10), or teacher training (DTE-PP&P, DSTE, or SNE).
  • Hold relevant academic/professional qualifications.
  • Know their subject’s CBC curriculum design.
  • Have 3+ years of teaching experience.
  • Be TSC-registered and recommended by their school head.

Submit your application by April 11, 2025, via examinersapp.knec.ac.ke. Upload all documents as one PDF. Only successful applicants will be contacted via phone or email. Note: Teachers previously trained by KNEC for item writing should not apply.
